So after the thunderous response to my post asking about music (*cricket, cricket*), I’ve decided to just go through with it. I’ve added a new Music page, accessible via the top navigation bar, which has 10 recordings of songs that either featured me, or were performed by ensembles I’m in. Check it out, and leave a comment on the music page with your thoughts!
How did this come to be? I am the head administrator for a gaming tournament that plays the game Call of Duty 4. The tournament is part the TotalGamingNetwork (TGN), and is therefore owned/operated by MyInternetServices (MyIS). Quakecon, a gigantic gaming conference run and sponsored by MyIS, is going on this weekend, from July 31st through August 3rd, down in Dallas. TGN is sending two staff members down there to do some “field work” and has just started their own “online TV station,” aptly called “TGTV.” The staffers will be recording videos of interviews at the conference, as well as streaming some live footage of it, and I’ve been asked to contribute with my own input from up in Chicago, as well as run the studio production (managing overlays, cueing up the next video, etc).
You can check out the feed below, where I have embedded it. If you’d rather, it’s located on facebook in my profile, or you can visit the home of TGTV at http://www.mogulus.com/tgn. Please leave comments over the course of the weekend, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
I just had an idea… would you guys like to hear some audio recordings of me/groups I’ve been in? I’ve got a lot of music that either includes or features me, I could put together an audio page with all that music available to listen to… (not sure if I can put if up for download due to copyright stuff, but you can always come back and listen as mannnyy times as you want :P)

A Criminal Mastermind
I had the distinct pleasure of watching one of the best movies I have seen in a very long time last night: The Dark Knight. This Christopher Nolan film about Batman (played by Christian Bale) teaming up with Policeman James Gordon (Gary Oldman) and Gotham’s DA Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) tells the story of how the three, along with the rest of Gotham City, work to try to take down a mastermind bank-robber called “The Joker” (Heath Ledger).
Ledger played The Joker phenominally. He gave the character a personality that was so despisable, yet so likeable at the same time. From the tone of voice to the mannerisms, everything that the late Heath Ledger did with his character made it easy to see how The Joker was so psychotic, yet so in control of everything at the same time. It was a phenominal performance, and one that will truly define Ledger’s all-too-short carreer.
The action scenes were intense, the plot had more twists than a Twizzler, and the message of the movie was one that will stay with you for the rest of your life. I highly reccomend the movie, well worth the 2-and-a-half hours. Go see it as soon as you can. Like now.
How do you guys like it? I think this is a little more colorful, and gives the page some interest. I’ll work on adding some additional pages as the weekend continues, but I’d love to hear your thoughts on the new site style or anything else! Leave a comment!
